Is Santorum a Sir Lancelot or a Don Quixote

Santorum parody

I admit that I had written Rick Santorum off as having no chances in the Republican primaries. However, his surprising triple wins in Minnisota, Missori and Colorada proves me very wrong. He has emerged as the tea parties new “knight in shinning armor”. Question: Is he really a serious contender for the Republican nomination in November or is he a “Don Quixote” tilting against the solid Romney political machinery? In the meantime he looks good as Sir Lancelot in Tintoretto’s “Man in Armour”.

My parody of Santorum as Quixote is based on a photo I found on the Internet by David Cooper back in 2009 regarding the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, “DON QUIXOTE a world premiere work in progress”.romney vs gingrich parody

The photographer of the intriguing photo of Don Quixote and his trusty “horse” is David Cooper. I love the photos I see on his website. The original photo which I am parodying, based on “fair use”, is shown on the lower left of this page.David Cooper original photograph
