Last week, when I posted, Iran Talks Parody, the outcome was hazy. Thus, our last panel said, “… to be continued.” Now that the talks are concluded, the outcome is still hazy and the main decision is that Iran wants to continue the talks in May??? This is apparently considered progress and reason for optimism. In fact, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace says, “Iran Talks Breakthrough Has One-in-Three Chance.” Wow! If one-in-three chances for a breakthrough is considered an improvement, we really have good reason for being pessimistic regarding the eventual outcome. Here is our worst-case senario:
BTW, it may look like I Photoshopped the nuclear bomb to make it look like Charlie Brown’s body. Not true! It is from a photo of a replica of “Fat Man” on display at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. “Fat Man” is the first assembly-line produced nuclear bomb. Of course, it is a lot bigger than a football, measuring 60″ x 128″. These days, there are extremely small suitcase bombs.
We all know WHAT is displayed in the last panel. The real question is WHEN and WHERE! In case you are wondering, the Doomday Clock is currently pointing to five minutes before midnight.
I will follow up with other scenarios in the future. Stay tuned!
